Tasks Manage the global EHS activities and community and drive safety awareness, culture, and performance on a global scale Elaborate powerful safety strategy and data/information-based target settings in alignment with group stakeholders and functions and implement timely and efficiently in coordination with the global EHS community Develop and ensure implementation of Buhler Safety standards, policies, guidelines, and trainings, manage and coordinate trainings for all site personnel and train target groups worldwide In charge of maintaining and improving the EHS Management System and analyzing accident occurrences, ensuring compliance with all regulatory, contractual and company requirements Lead and develop the global Safety network within Buhler and build a global Safety community Promote our EHS Mission Zero Harm by driving safety improvement initiatives and ensure the implementation of our and customer standards Monitor the effectiveness and of our EHS policy and take appropriate actions for non-compliance, report safety performance to the group management Consult the Project Execution teams, businesses, and areas on all safety-related matters and act as deputy of the Group Safety Officer Monitor quality and quantity of site safety inspections, play an active part in audits and elaborate audit plans Take on a key role in the Emergency Management team and support investigation of major accidents in Buhler Group Support and track safety risk management for installation sites, customer service sites and factories worldwide Consult and collaborate with local EHS organizations, Quality Departments (respective certification and EHS Management Systems) and those responsible for sustainability Define operational and strategic EHS targets in alignment with group stakeholders and lead the EHS Business Excellence Committee Required qualifications University degree in Engineering or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS and Hazardous Management, e.g.
certified Auditor EHS Management Systems Experienced in EHS Management Systems like 14001, 45001 and NEBOSH certified Strong interpersonal and team working skills, sound judgment and decision-making skills Ability to maintain strong network relations to stakeholders within the company Strong skills in gathering, analyzing, and reporting information and in using spreadsheets, database and presentation software Ability to work on multiple projects in a highly structured and organized manner within an interdisciplinary environment and a matrix organization Excellent problem-solving and communication skills in an international environment Fluent in English and preferably a second language e.g., German, Spanish or Chinese Good knowledge of MS Office Suite e.g.
