Department Global Delivery Solutions (GDS) Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Global IntercompanyWarehousing, the Senior Manager of Americas IntercompanyWarehousing will have responsibility for intercompany warehouse providers and oversight of their operations.
This position will support the quality and operational performance, continuous improvement, and supplier relationship management of intercompany warehouse providers.
This position will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the warehouse proposition supports current and future business requirements.
This includes creating and managing accurate warehouse data, enabling one source of truth and standardized ways of working.
This position will also lead and participate in critical projects working closely with Global Supply Chain (GSC) colleagues and other SMEs to deliver a best-in-class supply chain.
Responsibilities The main accountabilities of this role include and are not limited to:
Take a leading role in Project Foundation (defining our future strategy and ways of working in intercompanywarehousing) Lead intercompany warehouse implementations across all BMS modalities Monitor and drive continuous improvement plans with intercompany warehouse providers Participate in or lead projects , such as ERP implementation , ERP interface implementations , packaging enhancements , and serialization implementation Define ways of working and create intercompany warehouse SOPs to achieve standardization / harmonization across all BMS modalities Own supplier relationship management, including periodic business reviews , management of voice of the customer , production of KPIs and flash reports Create and govern relevant intercompany warehouse data to create one source of truth Control intercompany warehouse costs to ensure budget alignment Monitor quality performance and ensure continuous improvement leading to sustained excellence and GDP compliance Manage warehouse incidents and deviations utilizing Infinity QMS (damages, temperature deviations, etc.) and implement robust CAPAs Work with key stakeholders within a matrix environment to ensure adherence to BMS standards Point of escalation for performance matters pertinent to intercompanywarehousing Contribute as Intercompany Warehouse SME and support other functions such as EXM, and Quality Organizations Produce and communicate forecasted intercompany warehouse requirements working with stakeholders and providers to ensure there is sufficient capacity to meet business needs Work with Global procurement and other key functions to maintain warehouse provider agreements such as MOP / MSA updates and extensions , operations manuals Designee Role and Responsibilities The main accountabilities of this role include and are not limited to:
Accountable for the performance of all regional intercompanywarehousing from any API to finish product movements across the external network until the movement to in-market DCs/Hubs .
Perform ongoing intercompanywarehousing network optimization to timely support the agility, customer focus and cost-effectiveness principles of distributing BMS products .
Influences and collaborates with Procurement, Plant Sites, Regional Logistics colleagues, Customs & Trade, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, Security, EHS, Commercial, External partners and many others in the effective and efficient deployment of logistics capabilities across intercompanywarehousing operations .
Manage Supplier relationships with intercompany warehouse service providers to leverage their technological capabilities.
Perform benchmarking with biopharma, pharma and non-pharma companies to gain access to the latest market innovations to achieve the GSC goal of creating a best-in-class supply chain function .
In collaboration with the Demand and Supply Planning, Regulatory, Quality, EHS, Security, Tax, Customs & Trade, Legal teams, lead strategic network reviews of intercompany warehouses to ensure the network configuration is optimized with a particular focus on new product launch .
Leads monitoring of regional internal SLAs and Metric and leads effective coordination of communication to stakeholders regarding intercompany warehouse performance .
Leads issue resolution on all intercompany warehouse issues and is clearly visible as the SME in this area .
Drives and consolidates budgeting, reporting, audits as per BMS requirements and business processes at the regional level .
Representative in BMS, SC, Quality and other Regional/Global forums as required .
Required Competencies Communication skills; proficient in presenting to colleagues and leadership teams Negotiation skills; able to negotiate autonomously with warehouse providers Knowledge of the Guidelines on GDP of medicinal products for human use Required Qualifications and desired experience Preferable to have experience and skills in leading, managing and development of teams .
A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or equivalent Progressive experience in various supply chain management roles Background in Global Logistics and Warehouse Management E xperience in Pharma regulated area Experience in Cold Chain Management Technical skills; SAP experience is a plus Strong Knowledge of Contract Management Professional certifications such as APICS, PMP, PMI a plus Six Sigma certifications are a plus Travel Requirements A d hoc and with notice (approximately 20%) If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn’t perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
