BMS ExternalManufacturing is looking to recruit a permanent LeadInvestigator for Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MS&T) DrugSubstance (DS) ExternalManufacturing (ExM).
Reporting to the Associate Director of MS&T DS ExM, the LeadInvestigator will provide technical support to the ExM Biologics DS network.
The successful candidate will direct components required for complex investigative support within the MS&T ExM DS team.
They will be a key contributor to a dynamic and highly technical team.
This position will build collaborations with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Global Regulatory Sciences groups.
As part of MS&T, this position offers the opportunity to provide strong leadership of cross-functional teams to address critical business objectives.
The ideal candidate for this role has experience leading complex technical investigations within commercial biologics manufacturing operations and technology transfers.
Key Responsibilities Lead complex technical investigations with ExM DS network to successful closure to support batch disposition timelines.
Coaching and mentoring of leadinvestigators within the MS&T ExM DS team in investigation management and technical writing.
Responsible for tracking all deviations and corrective/preventative actions within the MS&T ExM DS team, and ownership of associated metrics.
Partner with internal BMS sites to standardise business processes for investigation management and drive efficiencies.
Lead audit support activities related to investigations.
Identify and implement continuous improvement and efficiency projects across the ExM network and within MS&T DS, aligning with quality and regulatory requirements.
Lead/support execution of MS&T deliverables/projects within the ExM DS network as required.
Qualifications & Experience The successful candidate must possess a science or engineering degree in the biotechnology, biochemical, chemical, or related disciplines, along with experience in commercial biologics manufacturing (>8yrs), documented by a solid history of technical accomplishments.
Experience in leading and managing complex technical investigations is essential.
Previous experience in a technical services role supporting commercial operations is required.
Proven ability to work on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors is required.
Proven ability to apply risk-based thinking to resolve issues and drive decisions while maintaining a strong compliance focus is also required.
Demonstrated strong communication, presentation, organizational and project management skills are required for this role.
